Pølsevogn · Ludlow Street
Six dogs, done properly. Pork sausage from a Danish recipe, split buns toasted on the flat top, and a wax paper wrap you eat over the counter. Cash and card at the window.
Served in wax paper
Grilled pork sausage, toasted split bun, ketchup, mustard, remoulade, raw onion, ristede løg, pickled cucumber.
The bright red one, boiled in salt water until it snaps. Same bun, same six toppings. This is the sausage the shop is named after.
Sausage pushed into a hollowed baguette with a stripe of dressing. Pick garlic, curry or ketchup. No toppings, no mess, one hand free for the beer.
Pølse wrapped in Danish streaky bacon, crisped on the griddle, finished with extra remoulade and a heavy hand of fried onions.
Vegetarian sausage, grilled hard so it browns. Egg-free remoulade on request. Everything else stays exactly the same.
A smaller dog for kids. Ketchup only unless you tell us otherwise, cut in half if you ask at the window.
Sausages contain pork unless marked. Remoulade contains egg and mustard. Tell us about allergies when you order and we will tell you straight what is in it.
The six standard toppings are free and always will be. Everything after that is a dollar or two. Beer is Danish, poured cold, and we card everyone who looks under 40.
