Everything leaves the window in wax paper within four minutes of the order landing. Here is exactly how it goes.
Walk up and say the number. Cash and cards both work. Phone orders go through on (212) 555-0148 and we will have it bagged by the time you get here.
Standard build is remoulade, ristede løg, raw onion, pickled cucumber, mustard and ketchup. Tell us what to leave off. We hold the sauces on the side if the dog is riding home on the train.
Danish pilsner and a rotating New York lager, both poured out of the fridge at 34°F. Beer stays inside the shop. Four-packs to go leave sealed in the bag.
There is a steel ledge along the front wall and a trash can at either end of the block. Big orders of ten or more, give us thirty minutes of notice so the grill does not back up.

Twenty dogs and up, packed hot with the toppings boxed separately so nothing goes soggy in the elevator. Delivery on the Lower East Side, SoHo and Chinatown.
24 hours notice
Four-packs of Danish pilsner and cans from a couple of Brooklyn brewers, sold sealed at the window. Bring ID. We card everyone, including your uncle.
Until close, every night
Friday and Saturday the window stays lit until 2am. That is when the ristede løg go on heavy and the line moves fastest. Come after the show, not during it.
Fri and Sat only
Fastest answer during service. If nobody picks up, the grill is slammed. Try again in five minutes or send an email.
